Many people do not realize the physical and emotional strains of having overly large breasts. Chronic neck, back and shoulder pain is common among women with large breasts. Difficulty and discomfort exercising and finding clothing which fits are common problems. The Doctors O’Sullivan have helped countless women achieve a more comfortable, confident and pain-free life through Boston Breast Reduction.
Breast Reduction is a surgical procedure designed to reduce the size of the breasts. There are a few different incision options based on your individual wants and needs and how much mass is being removed. Generally, the incision goes around the areaola and the areola and nipple can stay attached to their original nerves and blood supply. The excess skin, glandular and breast tissue and sometimes fat is removed. The remaining skin is then closed around the areola. In some cases the areola may be re-positioned, re-shaped or re-sized to better compliment the new smaller, lighter, firmer breasts.

Chin implants are commonly used to to correct a ‘weak’ chin and improve the balance of your facial structure. A weak chin can make nose seem larger or the neck appear fatter and undefined. Chin implants provide more projection of the chin and definition in the jaw.
Insertion of chin implants is a fairly short procedure taking anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. During the procedure, the surgeon selects the proper size and shape implant to achieve the desired appearance and inserts it into a pocket over the front of the jawbone. The small incision to create the pocket and insert the implant is placed inside the mouth (along the lower lip) or in the skin just under the chin area. For those concerned about an outward scar, the incision inside the mouth offers no visible scaring.
Usually, the chin is taped after surgery to minimize swelling and discomfort. Sutures in the skin will be removed in five to seven days. If an intra-oral incision is used, the sutures will dissolve. There may be some bruising around the chin but will be noticeably better within a couple of days. A consultation with the doctors at O’Sullivan Plastic Surgery will help you decide if chin implants are right for you. As we age, our skin begins to sag and wrinkles and find lines begin to appear on our forehead and around our mouth. We no longer have to turn to invasive surgical procedures to deal with the visible signs of aging. Boston plastic surgeons Doctors O’Sullivan can help you get back that youthful, refreshed look with Boston Botox procedures.
